Built in 1913 for the textbook printing press of Rolph-Clark-Stone Ltd., the building was converted into condos in 2010 with an eight-storey addition towards the back the building creating a mix of 256 hard- and soft-loft units. The complex still has its original impressive gothic-style stone entranceway and grand wooden staircase, and this particular unit is one of the hard-lofts located in the original building along Carlaw Avenue.

The unit features a stunning bedroom with tall ceilings and exposed yellow brick while the lower level features exposed heavy concrete beamed ceilings, lending a cool industrial bunker vibe.

While advertised as a 2-bedroom, this is really a 1-bedroom plus den as the den receives no natural light, no closets and too small to be a practical bedroom. I have been recommending this area for its easy proximity to downtown, tons of planned developments and improvements (particularly near the DVP), steps to shops and restaurants on Queen Street East, and excellent investment potential. Hard lofts are in huge demand and this loft is priced fairly and will most likely sell quickly close to asking price.
