Let us go back in time to the Fall of 2018 and try to picture yourself buying an old school house on 25 acres near Owen Sound. It is real hike from Toronto and the location may not be your first choice for a second home, but at $575K, the price is right.

Located in the Century Lofts near Regent Park, this is a hard loft for sale that I know very well. The Century Lofts are about as unassuming a condo building as there is in Toronto and this unit quietly resides in its south-east corner.

In 1880, this parkette use to be the location of a firehall, and where this house stands now is where stables use to be that housed the firehall’s horses.

In the spirit of Halloween, it is only appropriate to share one of Toronto’s most notoriously decrepit listings. 81 St. John’s Rd has become popular for it’s dilapidated state.

Back in 2018, I viewed this house with clients who were looking for a character home, ideally with many of the original features intact. This house checked a lot of boxes, as it had some unique Victorian elements.

If you are looking for a true hard loft and want to be in prime St. Lawrence Market, there is only 1 option available, the St. Lawrence Market Lofts. The listing states “No Cookie Cutter” units here, although I would argue that a ‘cookie cutter’ or an efficient unit is exactly what you want in this building.

With the uncertainty in the real estate market, it is becoming more of a challenge to accurately price properties and choose a selling strategy. One strategy I am seeing more often is to intentionally under list a property, but not set an offer date, implying that the seller would actually accept the listed price.

I don’t see many church conversions that can be practically used as a family home – this one is an exception. It is genuinely a family home with 4 functional bedrooms.

Listed recently is this legal single-family warehouse located in a laneway just north of Yorkville. The building was originally a plywood warehouse and marquetry workshop (marquetry is an arcane woodworking skill that uses various types of wood veneer to create pictures or patterns).
